Explorations:

I construct the feet using the method we learned during class. I am exploring various orientations of the feet to better understand how the complex lines come together to create the organic form. I use the highlighters to visually represent the top and the bottom planes of the human feet, resulting in a simple visual effect that allows me to better understand the orientation of the rendering. This method also allows me to think about the amount of information needed to communicate the form of the human foot: Which orientation is the most communicative? And what lines are needed to communicate the orientation of the drawing?

We are introduced a formal way of constructing shoes.

Shoe Exploration: 3/23/2020
I begin this exploration by loosely sketching out the form of the shoe. Then, to get a better understanding of the complex planes that make up the form and create volume, I color code the complex planes that make up the shoe form (divided into three separate pieces).

Shoe Exploration:

This drawing is aimed to get a better understanding of the components that are used to create the shoe, and how those planes can be deconstructed for a better understanding of its shape and form.
